Congratulations to our scientists Silvia Black, Rajesh Sharma and Barry Price who, along with Dave Allen, formerly of MBS Environmental, were among the finalists in the Innovating for Sustainable Water & Environmental Outcomes category of the Australian Water Association’s 2020 WA Water Awards.

Their MRIWA sponsored project Establishing Leaching Environmental Impact Assessment Framework Tools in the Development of a WA Framework for By-product Re-use and Classification will help establish a framework for converting the by-products of WA’s mineral processing industry from unused stockpiles into a valuable industrial resource.
The Awards recognise innovation and excellence in delivery of water related projects and the outstanding work being carried out across WA.
The Awards are the highlight event of National Water Week which is celebrated every third week of October, with this year’s theme being Reimagining our Water Future.
