ChemCentre is a Western Australian statutory authority which provides specialised chemical and forensic services to ensure a safe and prosperous Western Australian community. Within its areas of expertise, ChemCentre contributes to scientific education and knowledge in WA; and operates a successful consulting business.
ChemCentre provides environmental chemistry services in the areas of occupational health and safety, air quality, water, soil, marine environments, and mining and petroleum chemistry.
Our forensic science services include clandestine laboratory remediation, forensic toxicology, illicit drug analysis, physical evidence, and racing chemistry.
The Emergency Response team operates a 24/7 roster supported with a purpose-built mobile laboratory, and we provide chemical support to government agencies and departments in chemical, biological and radiological (CBR) incidents.
We collaborate closely with several government agencies on emergency response issues including WA Police, Department of Fire and Emergency Services, WA Health, and Department of Environmental Regulation
