Chemical, biological and radiological response
ChemCentre maintains a 24-hour emergency response service with experienced staff and appropriate equipment on standby to assist with Chemical Biological and Radiological incidents.
ChemCentre is a member of the Western Australian Hazardous Materials Emergency Management Plan (Westplan-HAZMAT) and HEAT (HAZMAT Emergency Advisory Team).
We have defined responsibilities which require it to 'provide chemical support to all government departments or concerned authorities following an emergency involving hazardous materials'.
We also have major responsibilities under the Western Australian Chemical-Biological and Radiological Emergency Management Plan (WestPlan CBR).
ChemCentre's role under WestPlan-CBR is to provide chemical support as required for CBR (chemical, biological, radiological) emergencies where the presence of a chemical CBR agent is suspected.
