ChemCentre maintains a 24-hour emergency response service by having experienced staff and appropriate equipment on standby round-the-clock.
Our work typically involves clandestine laboratory investigations for the police and attending chemical incidents such as workplace fires and spills.
As a member of the WA Hazardous Materials Emergency Management Plan (WestPlan-HAZMAT) we have defined responsibilities requiring us to provide chemical support to all government departments and authorities following an emergency involving hazardous materials.
Recently ChemCentre became a core participant of HEAT (HAZMAT Emergency Advisory Team) and we also have major responsiblities under the WestPlan CBR (WA Chemical, Biological & Radiological Emergency Management Plan).
When there is an incident we work closely with other government agencies including the police, fire and Emergency Services Authority, the Health Department, Worksafe and the Department of the Environment.
