ChemCentre is the Western Australian Government’s statutory authority responsible for providing analytical and forensic science services to government and industry. NMI is the peak Australian measurement body responsible for biological, chemical, legal, physical and trade measurement.
A transition project team comprising staff from both organisations is already in place working to facilitate all aspects of the agreement.
ChemCentre and NMI worked hard to come to a fair and respectful agreement with employees, and one that ensures a smooth transition for new and existing clients.
ChemCentre CEO Peter Millington said he was confident the agreement will lead to an expansion of both organisations’ capabilities for the benefit of communities and industry, especially in Western Australia.
“On behalf of ChemCentre, I’d like to thank the team at NMI and those here who are working to make this a successful outcome for our respective organisations. We are looking forward to developing new business relationships, and building on the legacy left by NMI’s Analytical Services facility in Western Australia,” Mr Millington said.
