ChemCentre, in partnership with the Bee Industry Council of WA (BICWA), is undertaking research focused on the development of WA monofloral honeys, ensuring a sustainable honey industry and maximising potential for export markets.
The project is jointly funded by the State Government through the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development, and the Federal Government through the Cooperative Research Centre for Honey Bee Products (CRCHBP), which is based in Western Australia.
Researchers involved in projects for Bee-keepers Industry Council of WA (BICWA) and it's commercial industry committee, the WA Honey Research and Development Group (WAHRDG), will be presenting their findings. This will include poster and oral presentations of the research to date, as well as an outline of the next phase of research and development delivery.
The afternoon presents progress updates relating to Department of Primary Industry and Regional Development (DPIRD) and CRCHBP funded projects.
